Hello my Freaky Darlings! This is a speed art of the Jason Voorhees drawing I did for Friday 13th September 2024, which just so happens to be the same day that Jason met his fate 57 years ago... My story about this piece goes: "57 years ago, in 1957, one fateful Friday in September. The 13th, to be precise. An unfortunate young boy named Jason was being badly bullied by a bunch of horrible kids while staying at a camp by a lake. During this awful incident, Jason accidentally fell into the camp's lake and supposedly drowned. His body was never found..." *** Materials Used Uni Pin fineliners in black. The weather was incredibly hot, for me anyway, at the time of writing, so I thought an image of an angry sun burning everything in its path would be fun! I decided it could be a good idea to film the creation process of the angry sun drawing and turn it into a speed art video. So, here it is. Drawing my brand logo from pencil line to inked final piece. Hello my Freaky Darlings! I am pleased to announce that I have, at last, made my first ever YouTube video! 😄 This is a speed art of me drawing my Emily Raven Crafts logo, with an awesome, intense symphonic metal soundtrack to accompany. The music is one of my favourite classical pieces; In The Hall Of The Mountain King from Edvard Grieg's play Peer Gynt. The piece has been masterfully arranged and produced by FalKKonE into epic heavy metal classical awesomeness! 🤘 For the drawing of the logo, I first mapped out the hexagon frame onto cartridge paper using a Jakar compass. Next, I drew in the lines with pencil and ruler, then sketched in the design with pencil - Rotring Tikky mechanical pencil to be precise. 😜 Then I inked in the drawing with a black Sakura Pigma Micron fine liner size 08. Finally, I coloured in the larger areas of black with a Sharpie Fine Point marker. Let me know what you think.
